On the eve the Inter-regional competitions of crews for repair and maintenance of relay protection and automation (RPA) among employees of subsidiaries were opened in Nizhnevartovsk as organized by JSC "Rosseti". They are attended by 14 teams of the company’s subsidiaries, as well as teams of "Rosneft" and JSC "RusHydro".
IDGC of Centre in the competitions is presented by the team of "Bryanskenergo": Deputy Chief Engineer for operational, technological and situational management - Head of the Grid Control Centre Sergey Polyakov, an engineer of the 1st category of the Eastern section of the department of relay protection and emergency automation Maxim Zhizhenko, an electrician of the 6th category of the Western section of the department of relay protection and emergency automation Leonid Romanchenko and an electrician of the 6th category of the group of operational service of substations Evgeniy Glavinskiy.
The competitions will be held for five days. Participants will demonstrate their professional knowledge and skills in seven stages, including a test of knowledge of normative and technical documentation, complex resuscitation when providing first aid to victims, as well as adjustment of relay protection devices and liquidation of process violations at the 110 kV substation and so on. The best will be determined the principal judicial commission, composed of representatives of "Rosseti" and the System Operator. The winner of the competition will be the team with the highest total number of points. There will also be winners in the categories "Best Relay Protection Engineer", "Best Relay Protection Electric Fitter", "Best First Responding Electrician", the best expert on the rules of the profession and the best team of rescuers will be chosen.
The schedule of events includes a number of business events: a meeting of chief engineers of subsidiaries and affiliates of "Rosseti", a round table of Main Production Enterprise "Belenergo", which controls the grid complex of the Republic of Belarus, presentations of manufacturers of electrical equipment.
IDGC of Centre demonstrated good results during previously held professional skill competitions of the national electric grid complex. For example, in 2013 the company took the third place, and in 2014 entered the top five.
