IDGC of Centre has created the Service Consumer Council

The Consumer Council is a joint expert body that will represent the interests of all groups of consumers, NGOs and associations of the business community.

The activities of the new body will be aimed at increasing consumer confidence, availability of energy infrastructure, operational efficiency and investment, as well as the social responsibility of IDGC of Centre.

The Consumer Council of IDGC of Centre included representatives of regional associations, particularly the branches of «Opora of Russia», Bryansk Regional Association of Industrial and Commercial Enterprises (Employers), Yaroslavl Regional Public Organization «Union of Young Entrepreneurs», a number of large industrial consumers of electricity in the company’s service area — MC «Metalloinvest», «Ertilsky plant of oils» (Voronezh region), a branch of OJSC «MTS» in Tambov, JSC «Energy Retail Company» of the special economic zone «Lipetsk» and others, as well as the regional executive authorities in charge of energy issues.

Important areas of the Council’s work will be to optimize and coordinate the activity of IDGC of Centre’s branches with consumers, as well as increasing transparency of the company.

The main functions of the Consumer Council will be the formation of expert opinions on the activity areas of IDGC of Centre, as well as suggestions and recommendations, including to improve the legal framework regulating the relationship of electric power industry subjects.

The Service Consumer Council in IDGC of Centre was created to carry out orders of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, given during the St. Petersburg International Forum in June 2013.
