The hurricane force winds up to 26 m/s that hit on May 1 the Central part of Russia caused power interruption in parts of Tver, Yaroslavl, Tambov, Lipetsk and Voronezh regions. In some regions, the wind was accompanied by heavy rains, thunderstorms, resulting in wire whipping and breakage, damage to the poles of the overhead power lines. The power engineers of IDGC of Centre immediately began to restore the power supply.
IDGC of Centre set the work of the operational headquarters for disaster relief. 155 crews with maintenance personnel and 28 units of special equipment were involved for the rapid restoration of power supply. Crews of high mobility, fully staffed with emergency reserve and means of communication, were set alert.
