Yaroslavl power engineers of IDC Center has successfully coped with the consequences of the disaster

Power engineers of IDGC of Centre — Yarenergo division has successfully eliminated the interruption of power supply in four municipalities of the Yaroslavl region, caused by adverse weather conditions — wet snow and gusty winds. During the working day the power engineers have been restoring the operation of damaged transformer substations, providing electricity supply to villages. 23 mobile recovery crews and 16 pieces of special vehicles were involved into the works. As of 17.00 the work to restore the electricity supply has been completed, all the localities, affected by the disaster, have been energized.

“Yarenergo has made mobile crews that can be quickly sent to any part of the region to help the districts affected by the disaster, a number of measures on occupational safety for operating personnel have been performed and backup power supply sources are constantly ready for use. This allows power engineers to be prepared to work in an emergency situation mode and respond quickly to reports of technological failures,” — stressed Deputy Director General for Technical Issues — Chief Engineer of IDGC of Centre Sergey Shumakher.
