Special control over operation of equipment of power grid complex is established, strict scheme of notification and calling of operating and maintenance personnel is used in case of technological disturbances.
Action organized by World Worldwide Fund (WWF) is that it was offered to all inhabitants of Earth on the March 27, 2010 at 20:30 on the dot local time to switch off the light for one hour in order to show that they mind future of our planet and problem of global climate change. In organizers’ opinion, "Earth Hour" should make inhabitants of our planet realize that electric power savings, finally, will allow to reduce emissions of harmful substances into the atmosphere of Earth.
In 2009 during analogous action spike transients in the grids of branches were not recorded and quantity of consumed electric power did not reduce. The level of electric power system reliability of IDGC of Centre is high enough, within the period of “Earth Hour” probability of emergency situations is low enough, but all branches are ready to any course of events. IDGC of Centre, JSC supports the action realizing the importance of problem of power savings and rational use of natural resources.
