Rosseti Centre and Volga region took second place in the All-Russian professional skills competition of Rosseti Group

The All-Russian professional skills competition for employees of Rosseti Group’s service sales unit concluded in the Moscow region. The team of Rosseti Centre and Volga region took second place in the overall standing among subsidiary grid companies.

Rosseti Centre and Volga region was represented by Captain Alexey Burenok, Analyst Alexey Maslov, and Kalugaenergo’s electricity metering crew with Alexey Yudin and Evgeny Mantsurov. The company’s crew received an award in the separate category “Best Intelligent Electricity Metering System (IEMS) Crew”.

An independent panel of judges evaluated the work of 22 participating teams based on the results of five stages, which included theoretical and analytical tasks, work on 3D computer simulators, and practical testing. During the on-site stage, specialists worked with electrical equipment, specialized machinery, and metering devices directly on power line poles.

Practical tasks were complemented by instrumental and analytical testing methods. Specialists from Rosseti Centre and Volga region demonstrated their own developments at the competition, including the use of high-voltage current clamp meters. This safe method of working under voltage for quickly identifying under-metering and assessing power balances in distribution networks is recommended for replication across all Rosseti Group’s companies.
