A series of practical training sessions for electricity metering department personnel is underway at the branch of Rosseti Centre — Yarenergo at a training ground of the Rostovsky Distribution Zone.
By the end of June, 175 employees will have completed the training. The main goal of the course is to ensure the efficient and safe execution of both daily tasks and new types of production work.
The training sessions are conducted under the strict supervision of the heads of the industrial safety unit and Yarenergo’s Grid Control Centre. During the training, power engineers will master safe work procedures in transformer substations and consumer metering panels. A key part of the practical training is practicing the complex installation of modern split-type meters, which are installed directly on top of power line poles. The work is conducted in small groups, allowing for a detailed analysis of each specialist’s work procedures.
At the same time, the personnel are learning new technical tools. Power engineers are testing the use of various lifting equipment and modern ladder modifications, which were developed specifically for the company’s needs in collaboration with designers at the Pereslavl plant.
Regular staff training, honing skills, and implementing modern, safe technologies are key priorities for Rosseti Centre. The professionalism of its employees directly impacts the reliability and quality of electricity supply to consumers in the Yaroslavl region.
