275 reclosers were installed in 2024 by Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga region

19 March 2025

Reclosers are automatic switches that can isolate a fault on overhead power lines. These devices can significantly reduce the time it takes to restore power supply from several hours to several seconds.

In 2025, it is planned to install another 171 reclosers, which will significantly increase the reliability of the power supply. The largest number of installations are planned by the branches of Bryanskenergo (24 devices), Udmurtenergo (35), Nizhnovenergo (19), and Yarenergo (18).

The work on installing reclosers is part of the general program for modernizing the 6-10 kV distribution grid, aimed at increasing the reliability of power supply to the electric grid complex and reducing the duration of power outages for consumers.

In addition to the reclosers, the branches plan to replace bare wire with self-supporting wire of the SIW-3 brand, which will also increase the resistance of the grids to external influences.

These measures are aimed at improving the quality and reliability of power supply in the regions where Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga region are present, which is especially important in the context of increasing requirements for energy infrastructure.
