Branches of Rosseti Centre, PJSC and Rosseti Centre and Volga region, PJSC have completed preparations for the flood period to ensure reliable power supply to consumers and preserve equipment in areas of possible flooding.
To eliminate consequences of the flood, 3,370 crews consisting of 26,571 employees, as well as 12,599 vehicles and 106 floating vessels with a capacity of 368 people have been put on full alert. In the event of a power outage to consumers due to the threat of flooding and river overflow, 2,287 backup power sources with a total capacity of almost 90 MW are ready to be switched on according to temporary schemes.
All preventive measures have been implemented, including more frequent monitoring of electrical installations located in the flood risk zone. Interaction has also been organized with the territorial bodies of Roshydromet, the units of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia and local authorities to obtain forecasts on the time and nature of the spring flood, maximum water levels in the rivers, possible risks and emergency situations during the flood period.
To date, the regional centres of the hydrometeorological service predict the rise of water in the rivers of the regions where the companies are present at the level of average long-term indicators and below.
