3 October 2024

A meeting of Rosseti Centre’s Special Operations Headquarters was held in the camp of the Rapid Deployment Group in the Kursk region, led by the company’s General Director Igor Makovskiy. The discussion focused on continuous monitoring of reliable power supply during the autumn-winter period, the work of power engineers in the frontline districts of the Kursk border, as well as measures to ensure the safety of employees.

Since the invasion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine into the territory of the Kursk region, the RDG specialists have made over 400 trips, including to the “gray zone”, restored over 900 power lines and 4,040 transformer substations, and returned electricity to 830 settlements in the region, where over 120 thousand people live.

The energy company’s General Director Igor Makovskiy noted that in connection with the upcoming autumn-winter period, special attention in the work of the RDG crews will be paid to ensuring reliable power supply to critically important and socially significant facilities in the region: boiler houses, water supply and sanitation systems and other public utility infrastructure facilities.

“Our main task is to ensure stable passage of the winter peak loads and reliable power supply to residents and socially significant facilities of the Kursk region even in difficult conditions, this is exactly why we are here”, said Igor Makovskiy.
