Governor of the Kirov Region Alexander Sokolov and General Director of Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga region Igor Makovskiy visited the Kirovenergo branch and inspected the newly created multifunctional information technology centre, and also discussed the results of activities in 2023 and prospects for development of the region’s power grid complex.
The head of the energy company noted that the high-quality implementation of production programs made it possible to significantly reduce the number of technological violations in 2023. In preparation for winter, the branch exceeded the work plan by 15%: 382 kilometres of power lines were repaired, more than 3,200 hectares of routes along overhead line were cleared.
Alexander Sokolov, in turn, thanked the power engineers for the measures taken to ensure the reliability of power supply. We separately discussed the heating season, including in the settlement of Lesnoy of the Verkhnekamsky district. Under the concession agreement with the regional government, the branch performs the functions of a heat supply organization there. In preparation for the cold season, Kirovenergo’s specialists repaired and reconstructed heating networks and equipment, replaced an outdated boiler with a modern one.
Other topics of the meeting included outdoor lighting of populated areas in the region and preparations for the 650th anniversary of Kirov.
“The development of the region largely depends on the quality work of power engineers. Today we discussed key issues of the energy company’s activities in the Kirov region. In all areas, Rosseti Centre demonstrates a responsible approach to business. I am confident that our partnership will help achieve even better results for the benefit of our residents”, said Alexander Sokolov.
“Ensuring reliable power supply to consumers is the main, but not the only task of Kirov power engineers. Our specialists are actively involved in issues of outdoor lighting in populated areas in the region. We will continue to work in this direction in the future. Constructive cooperation with the Government of the Kirov Region will allow us to fully realize the potential of the branch with high efficiency in all areas of our activities”, noted Igor Makovskiy.
