Igor Makovskiy: consolidation of electric grid assets is necessary to improve the reliability and quality of energy supply to consumers

29 January 2024 Igor Makovskiy, General Director of Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga region, held an operational meeting where, among other issues, the consolidation of electric grid assets in the regions where the company operates was discussed.

Activities in this area are carried out in the interests of reliable energy supply to residents. The work is carried out systematically, within the framework of the Development Strategy of the Russian Electric Grid Complex, approved by the Government of the Russian Federation.

It was noted that during the period of 2019-2023, the Companies took ownership of more than 14 thousand transformer substations with an installed equipment capacity of 8 thousand MVA and more than 40 thousand km of power lines. In 2024, the consolidation will gain a special impetus: it is expected that the status of existing territorial grid organizations will be lost from 103 enterprises.

“The consolidation of power grid assets makes it possible to form a well-functioning unified system with common management principles and, as a result, improve the quality of power supply to residents of 20 Russian regions”, noted Igor Makovskiy, General Director of Rosseti Centre - the managing organization of Rosseti Centre and Volga region.
