Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Gleb Nikitin and General Director of Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga region Igor Makovskiy held a working meeting at the central office of Rosseti Centre, PJSC in Moscow. Measures to ensure sustainable development of the electric grid complex were discussed.
As part of the program to improve reliability, power facilities are undergoing large-scale modernization, which will significantly improve the reliability and quality of power supply to residents of the region. About 3 billion rubles were allocated for the implementation of the program. The work is carried out in 17 districts of the Nizhny Novgorod region. During the year, Nizhnovenergo’s specialists replaced more than 800 km of wires on power lines, which is almost twice as much as planned for 2023.
In addition, in the region, the power engineers successfully implemented a number of large projects, such as the reconstruction of grids during the improvement of the Cathedral Square of the city of Arzamas, in the construction zone of the Southern Bypass highway, the laying of 110 kV cable lines under the Akademika Sakharov - Ankudinovka road, the reconstruction of electric networks in the settlement of Bolshoye Boldino.
“The power engineers of Rosseti Centre and Volga region are carrying out serious work on improving the reliability of energy supply, promptly responding to emerging problems, and implementing large projects”, Governor Gleb Nikitin emphasized.
“We provide comfort to more than three million residents of the region, stable operation of enterprises and socially significant facilities. Nizhnovenergo’s employees not only carry out production programs in a timely manner, but also demonstrate an example of dedicated and highly professional work, implement ambitious large-scale projects that help the region develop”, noted the head of the companies, Igor Makovskiy.
