The final press conference of General Director of Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga region Igor Makovskiy took place in Moscow

19 December 2023 General Director of Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga region Igor Makovskiy held an annual press conference dedicated to summing up the activities of the Companies for 2023 and plans for the coming period. The event took place in Moscow with the support of the TASS Information Agency. More than 100 representatives of federal and regional media were present in person and online.

In his opening remarks, the head of the Companies emphasized that the company fulfills all obligations to ensure reliable and high-quality power supply to consumers and continues to implement strategic plans for the development of the power grid complex throughout the territory of responsibility in 20 regions of the Russian Federation, where a fifth (25.8 million) of our country’s residents live.

Despite external challenges, the power engineers have maintained positive dynamics in basic production indicators over the past five years. Thus, the average duration of power supply interruptions in grids was reduced by 27.2% compared to the same period in 2018, and the projected level of electricity losses in grids of the same voltage class by the end of the year will decrease by 3.2 percentage points.

Igor Makovskiy noted that in addition to optimizing costs, the company is progressively approaching increasing the income items of the business plan. Thus, revenue from non-tariff activities will reach record levels by the end of the year, and growth for the period 2018-2023 will be 282%, that is, more than 3 times. The result of this approach is the recording of labour productivity growth.

Answering questions from journalists, General Director spoke about a number of strategic goals, the achievement of which determines the development of the Companies and the implementation of planned indicators for this year. He focused on the implementation of domestic developments and digital technologies, and also summed up the results of the work over the past five years.

Along with the media, consumers also asked the head of the energy company their questions. On the eve of the event, a “Hotline” was opened, which received about 1,350 requests from citizens.

“I would like to say with absolute confidence that from year to year our team demonstrates well-coordinated work and successfully achieves all its strategic goals. Along with this, the power engineers are always at the forefront in solving ambitious and large-scale production and government tasks - we daily respond to the challenges of the harshest modern times, continuing to work and develop to improve the quality of life of citizens, offering uninterrupted, affordable and reliable power supply. All this can be achieved thanks to balanced system work, the constant desire to improve and increase the level of efficiency in our activities”, said Igor Makovskiy, General Director of Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga region, at the end of the press conference.
