Victory Day is a special date in the history of our country, a great symbol of the invincible stamina and selfless courage of our people.
For many years, through the fire of battles, severities and incredible hardships, the Soviet people marched shoulder to shoulder towards Victory in the war against fascism. With superhuman efforts, our ancestors defended the right to life and freedom for future generations.
We bow our heads before the millions of those who died in the Great Patriotic War, we recall the feat of the liberators and home front workers, those who, not sparing themselves, brought Victory Day closer. We will always remember what a high price they had to pay for the salvation of mankind, for our future and freedom.
On this day, the feelings of joy and excitement, sorrow and pride, and, of course, gratitude to industry veterans are especially strong. Power engineers bravely fought on the fields of the Great Patriotic War, accomplished labour feats in the rear, restored the power supply to the liberated cities, laying a reliable foundation for the country’s revival. We bow before the valour of the generation of winners who went through a harsh and heroic path to Victory.
Decades will fly by, generations will change, but Victory Day as a sacred holiday of military glory and valour will forever remain in our hearts.
May the world that our grandfathers and great-grandfathers gave us, freedom and unity be an unshakable foundation for us and our children.
