Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation presented the Order of Courage to Igor Makovskiy at the All-Russian meeting following the results of the 2022-2023 autumn-season period

20 April 2023 On 20 April 2023, under the chairmanship of the head of the Government Commission for Ensuring the Security of Electricity Supply, the Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation Nikolai Shulginov, the All-Russian meeting “On the results of the passage of the heating season 2022-2023 by the subjects of the electric power industry and housing and communal services, topical issues of the functioning of the electric power industry” was held.

Within the framework of the meeting, Nikolai Shulginov, in accordance with the decree of the President of Russia Vladimir Putin, presented the Order of Courage for personal management of measures for proper, uninterrupted power supply to consumers in the Russian Federation during the Special Military Operation, including directly during the period of hostilities, to General Director of Rosseti Centre, PJSC Igor Makovskiy.

Rosseti Centre is engaged in the restoration of the power grid infrastructure in new Russian regions, including Mariupol. In close cooperation with the authorities of these territories, Igor Makovskiy organized work on the spot to ensure reliable power supply to residents and stable operation of power facilities in the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics, as well as the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions.

“The work of power engineers is not always correctly assessed by ordinary people, but at the state level it is appreciated. We have never awarded the Order of Courage, especially to power engineers. Igor Makovskiy was different from all our power engineers who worked in the border areas, in the territories of the new entities, in the most difficult conditions, combat conditions, so the award is absolutely well-deserved,” Nikolai Shulginov emphasized.
