Igor Makovskiy: in 2022 the security unit of Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga region showed growth in key performance indicators

16 February 2023 The meeting of the Board on the results of activities for 2022 of the security divisions of Rosseti Centre, PJSC and Rosseti Centre and Volga region, PJSC was opened by General Director of the Companies Igor Makovskiy.

The head of the energy companies noted the growth of the key performance indicators of the security unit in 2022, despite the challenges associated with the conduct of a special military operation, which had a significant impact on the activities of the Companies. It was emphasized that in the reporting period, the efforts of the unit’s specialists were primarily aimed at protecting the life and health of personnel and increasing the level of security of power grid facilities in the border areas. The unit also oversaw such difficult issues as mobilization training, including booking employees, and monitoring the situation with mobilized and voluntarily left workers to participate in the special operation.

Yury Marakin, Deputy General Director for Security, noted in his report that tasks in the field of economic and information security received new relevance in 2022 due to the actions of unfriendly countries. Thus, during the round-the-clock monitoring of the information infrastructure, more than 4.3 thousand threats were identified and eliminated. This made it possible to eliminate violations in the operation of information and technological automated control systems of the Companies, and ultimately to prevent failures in the operation of the power grid complex.

“This year, for the security unit, the main task is to build proactive work in all areas of activity. Among them are the protection of workers and energy facilities in the border area, as well as in the DPR, LPR and other new territories, ensuring cybersecurity, countering illegal actions. These measures will allow us to mitigate the existing risks and prevent interruptions in energy supply in the regions of our responsibility,” stated Igor Makovskiy.
