Head of the region and Head of the Rosseti Centre company discussed the development of the power grid complex of the Yaroslavl region

19 April 2022

Acting Governor Mikhail Evraev met with Igor Makovskiy, General Director of Rosseti Centre - the managing organization of Rosseti Centre and Volga region. They discussed the results of the work of the Yaroslavl branch in 2021 and the prospects for the development of the region’s energy infrastructure in 2022.

“Rosseti is a serious, reliable partner, we have many joint projects,” said Mikhail Evraev. “Despite the difficult times, we look to the future with confidence and want to develop, including in the electric power industry. The comfort of more than a million residents of the region, the stable operation of enterprises and socially significant facilities depend on this. We hope to continue our work on the digitalization of the industry.

In February, a pilot project of the company was implemented in the Yaroslavl region - the service “Subscription to notification of a power outage”, which allows you to quickly receive such information.

A separate topic of the meeting was the work of “Yarenergo” to modernize the street lighting system in Yaroslavl. In 2021, in four months, the branch implemented the largest energy service contract in the city in the Central Federal District, which covered 709 streets, 40 parks and squares, 12 squares and 568 crossings. Thanks to this, budget savings on electricity bills already exceeded 64% in the first quarter of 2022.

“Our main task was and remains to increase the reliability of the power grid complex. At the same time, we are actively developing a program for the modernization, repair and maintenance of street lighting networks in the Yaroslavl region,” stated Igor Makovskiy. “By applying modern energy-efficient technologies and solutions, we not only improve the street lighting, which, of course, is seen and appreciated by residents of the region, but also help reduce the costs of municipal authorities for paying for electricity.”
