Igor Makovskiy: our primary task is to increase the intensity and quality of personnel training in accordance with the digital transformation program

Rosseti Centre — the managing organization of Rosseti Centre and Volga Region, under the leadership of General Director Igor Makovskiy, held a meeting with heads of the company’s training centres. It summed up the results of the centres’ work in 2020 and outlined tasks for 2021.

Within the perimeter of the functional responsibility of Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga Region, there are 10 training centres. In 2020, 17,291 employees were trained in them. This year the company plans to train 18,780 of its employees here.

Much attention will be paid to further improving the quality of the educational process and adapting it to modern realities. Among the key tasks, Igor Makovskiy outlined the improvement of distance and e-learning methods, the further equipping of the educational base with modern computer technology and computer software, the development and improvement of training programs for specialists for digital transformation, in particular, the direction «Operation of intelligent electricity metering systems».

Also, the head of Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga Region drew attention to the need to expand the competitive market segment of educational services. For this, in the opinion of the Head of the energy companies, it is necessary to focus on consumer demand and the use of innovations in training, expand the geography of sales of services, and increase the number of customers.

«The intellectual and technological resources of our training centres already today allow us to train highly qualified personnel for the electric power industry and, in particular, digital transformation, to quickly and adequately adapt to the new needs of the dynamically developing industry. At the same time, there remains the potential for further improving the quality and intensity of the educational process to a level sufficient to occupy a leading position in the professional education market, to contribute to the solution of the problem of increasing the volume of non-tariff revenue,» stressed Igor Makovskiy.
