The Shukhov Tower on the Oka River has its own anthem

The presentation of the anthem took place at the opening ceremony after the reconstruction of the Shukhov Tower on the Oka River on 23 September in the presence of honoured guests: Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Gleb Nikitin, Director General of Rosseti’s Group Pavel Livinskiy, and General Director of Rosseti Centre Igor Makovskiy.

Igor Makovskiy was the initiator of the creation of the anthem of the Shukhov Tower. The author of the music is the composer Artem Ivanov, who collaborates with famous Russian performers. The lyrics to the song were written by Yulia Maksimenko, an employee of the public relations department of Rosseti Centre.

“The anthem of the Shukhov Tower reflects the power and greatness of the labour feat of the Soviet people during the years of industrialization. This song is a beautiful story about one of the most unique objects of the architectural avant-garde, which received a second life thanks to the efforts of power engineers,” said Igor Makovskiy.
