Digital city control centres opened in Arzamas and Dzerzhinsk

24 September 2020

On 23 September, in Arzamas and Dzerzhinsk, the opening of digital city dispatch centres (CDC) took place. Pavel Livinskiy, Director General of Rosseti, and Igor Makovskiy, Head of Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga Region, gave a start to the work of the new CDCs.

“The opening of the Dzerzhinsky and Arzamassky control centres is an important stage in the development of the region’s energy system. They will serve territories with a population of about 720 thousand people. For consumers, this means high-quality and uninterrupted service and prompt response to any emergency situations. The introduction of intelligent systems into this sector of the economy is one of the most important components of digital transformation in general. It is pleasant that such an event took place on the days when the region is hosting the CIPR - 2020. This is a real example of positive changes that are taking place thanks to digitalization,” stressed Gleb Nikitin, Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.

“The opening of such centres is of particular importance for the industry development. The territories they will serve have a huge industrial potential. Operating enterprises will receive quality services, and investors will be confident that they can rely on high-quality infrastructure for their projects here. This year the SEZ “Kulibin” was created in Dzerzhinsk, and the quality of power supply is one of the significant advantages,” added Gleb Nikitin.

“The introduction of new technologies in such a sensitive area as the management of the power grid complex makes it possible to increase the speed of response to emergency situations, reduce the number of failures, and increase the reliability of the operation of power facilities. The effect will be noticed first of all by our clients,” noted Pavel Livinskiy.

The Arzamassky city dispatch centre will serve nine districts of the region with a population of more than 290 thousand inhabitants, as well as a number of significant enterprises in the region, such as OJSC “Arzamas Instrument-Making Plant”, PJSC “Arzamas Machine-Building Plant”, OJSC “Municipal Engineering Plant”, OJSC “Temp -Avia”, PJSC “Gazpromtrasgaz Nizhny Novgorod” and others.

The Dzerzhinsky city dispatch centre will serve residents of the Dzerzhinsky and Volodarsky districts with a population of over 430 thousand people. Among the significant consumer enterprises are federal state-owned enterprise “Plant named after Y.M. Sverdlov”, OJSC “Zefs-Energo”, OJSC “Korund”, JSC “Sibur-Neftekhim”, OJSC “Sintez”, OJSC “Kristall”, the Volgo-Vyatsky branch of JSC “Oboronenergo” and the Strigino airport.

With the introduction of digital technologies, customer services are also significantly improved. For questions related to power supply, you can contact the portal of PJSC Rosseti “Light Country” at светлаястрана.рф.
