As part of a visit to the digital city dispatch centre (CDC) in Arzamas, Rosseti’s Director General Pavel Livinskiy and Head of Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga Region Igor Makovskiy were shown a new outdoor lighting control system.
A total of 6,000 new LED lamps will be installed in Arzamas by 1 December. More than 500 lighting fixtures have already been installed. As a result of the project, the comfort and safety of the urban environment will improve, and lighting costs will decrease by more than 60%. The results obtained will be scaled up in other cities of the country.
This is not the first project of this kind for Rosseti: power engineers are modernizing lighting systems in 26 regions of the country.

In addition, thanks to the use of modern technological solutions, the power engineers can remotely monitor the operation of individual light points and adjust the intensity of the luminous flux.
Installing energy efficient LED lighting significantly reduces energy consumption, which will allow city authorities to reduce this cost item.
“Thanks to the applied solutions, the consumer, without additional burden on the budget, will receive high-quality light on his street, in the yard and on the roads. This will primarily affect the level of safety: the level of criminality and the number of accidents on the roads will decrease. The light level is a very subtle point that has a strong impact on our life. This should be done by professionals with adjusting parameters of the outdoor lighting around the clock. The use of new approaches in the development of urban space and the creation of comfortable living conditions should become an important part of the work of Rosseti’s Group for the future,” noted Pavel Livinskiy.
