Power engineers of Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga Region are put on high alert due to bad weather

On Tuesday, 8 September, in a number of subjects of the Central Federal District, weather conditions worsened: rain is recorded, in places heavy, in some areas with thunderstorms and hail; increased wind up to 15-20 m/s. Bad weather is also predicted in the regions of operational responsibility of Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga Region. At the moment, both companies are working in the maximum mobilization mode and are ready to eliminate consequences of possible technological violations.

The high alert mode was introduced in the branches of Ryazanenergo, Tambovenergo, Lipetskenergo and Voronezhenergo. An information exchange was organized with the territorial subdivisions of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and executive authorities. First responding and repair personnel were mobilized. All crews are equipped with necessary tools, devices, overalls, provided with highly passable specialized vehicles, prepared for round-the-clock work in any conditions.

In total, 470 crews of 2,423 people, 880 units of automotive and specialized vehicles, as well as resources of contractors can be involved in the elimination of technological violations in the branches of Ryazanenergo, Tambovenergo, Lipetskenergo and Voronezhenergo. At the disposal of the power engineers there are 278 reserve power supply sources with a total installed capacity of 10.6 MW, which can be used for temporary power supply, primarily to socially significant facilities.

Contact centres of the companies process applications related to electricity supply issues around the clock by calling 800-220-0-220 (toll-free call). In addition, temporary information centres have been deployed in the regions to process consumer inquiries related to power supply.

Also, for questions related to power supply, you can contact the portal of PJSC Rosseti “Svetlaya Strana” at svetlayastrana.rf. Problem reports are processed centrally in the unified Moderation Service of PJSC Rosseti.

If necessary, the high alert mode will be promptly introduced in other branches of the companies. At present, in case of worsening weather, a set of preventive measures is being implemented here. Continuous monitoring of the meteorological situation is being carried out, control over the facilities of the power grid infrastructure has been strengthened, and clear information interaction with the Ministry of Emergencies, regional and local authorities has been ensured.
