26 August 2020

During a working meeting in Moscow, the head of the region and the head of the energy company discussed in detail further measures within the framework of the agreement signed in February 2019 on interaction between Rosseti Centre and the administration of the Lipetsk region. The document is aimed at creating a favourable investment climate in the Lipetsk region and modernizing its power grid complex based on digital technologies.

Taking into account the effectiveness of the developing cooperation, the parties expressed their readiness to expand its horizons. In particular, Igor Artamonov and Igor Makovskiy dwelled on the setup of outdoor lighting in the Lipetsk region based on modern energy-saving technologies. The head of Rosseti Centre introduced the head of the region to the projects successfully implemented by the company in other areas of operational responsibility. Including in Belgorod, where Rosseti Centre, as part of the “Smart Quarter” project, which provides for the construction of an intelligent urban environment in one of the residential neighbourhoods, replaced street lighting fixtures with LED ones and set up an individual control system for each of them.

In addition, Igor Makovskiy showed Igor Artamonov the most advanced outdoor lighting equipment developed by domestic companies - leaders in this field and spoke about the effects of their use.

“The development of outdoor lighting networks plays an important role in the development of regions. This is necessary both from the point of view of ensuring safety and increasing the level of comfort of the urban environment, and from the point of view of the economy. The Rosseti Centre company has all the necessary resources and competencies for the high-quality performance of these works within the framework of a comprehensive service, which includes both the provision of street lighting and the organization of architectural lighting, landscape lighting, festive decoration and illumination,” emphasized the head of Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga Region Igor Makovskiy.

The head of the Lipetsk region supported the initiative of the power engineers on the expediency of carrying out a comprehensive modernization of outdoor lighting systems. “This topic is extremely relevant not only for large, but also for small cities, and the advantages of it are obvious. The use of modern high-tech energy-efficient solutions in outdoor lighting systems will improve the illumination of settlements, reduce energy consumption, and reduce the costs of municipalities to pay for electricity,” stressed Igor Artamonov, Governor of the Lipetsk Region.
