Igor Makovskiy: Rosseti Centre confirmed the compliance of the corporate environmental management system with advanced international standards

⁠Rosseti Centre received a certificate of compliance of its environmental management system with the requirements of the international standard ISO 14001:2015. The document was issued by the Certification Association “Russian Register” based on the results of an audit of the company’s management and production activities carried out in June by independent auditors.

According to the results of the audit, personnel of Rosseti Centre demonstrated high competence, involvement in the environmental management system, a responsible approach to the conservation of natural resources, the desire to minimize the negative impact on the environment, actively seek and implement new environmental technologies.

Certification of the environmental management system for compliance with the requirements of the ISO 14001 series is one of the voluntary mechanisms of environmental responsibility implemented by Rosseti.

Rosseti Centre pays priority attention to environmental protection issues. The company considers this activity as an integral part of its daily work, fully aware of the need to maintain ecological balance, ensure environmentally sustainable socio-economic development of society.

Igor Makovskiy, General Director of Rosseti Centre, noted that the company has developed and is operating a program to ensure environmental safety. Regular industrial environmental control over compliance with the requirements of the environmental legislation of the Russian Federation is carried out. Employees of the company’s branches are trained in the environmental management system. All branches carry out environmental audits, the purpose of which is to prevent and timely eliminate inconsistencies with the requirements of environmental legislation and sanitary and hygienic standards. Environmental targets are set and met annually.

By the decision of the Board of Directors, Rosseti Centre joined the implementation of the Environmental Policy of the Electric Grid Complex, the purpose of which is to consistently limit the load of the fuel and energy complex on the environment by reducing emissions of pollutants, decreasing the generation of production and consumption waste.
