Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga Region eliminate massive power outages in a number of regions of the Central Federal District due to bad weather

A powerful cyclone that hit the Central Federal District on the evening of 14 July continues to cause trouble for residents of the Central Federal District. Due to a thunderstorm with a squally wind, trees were toppled, roofs were blown off several houses in the Ryazan and Vladimir regions. And on the morning of 15 July, bad weather came to the Smolensk, Bryansk and Tver regions.

Power engineers of Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga Region were prepared in advance for the onset of the disaster and promptly responded to power interruptions to consumers!

On behalf of General Director of Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga Region, operational headquarters were established in the regions to carry out emergency recovery operations. The power engineers work in close cooperation with district administrations, departments of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and other territorial grid organizations. Additional funds and forces from neighbouring regions were attracted to eliminate the consequences of the hurricane in a number of regions.

In the Smolensk region, 70 crews of power engineers, consisting of 280 people, are currently working on eliminating power outages with the involvement of 78 specialized vehicles.

In the Bryansk region, 42 crews of power engineers are involved consisting of 210 people with 56 specialized vehicles.

In the Tver region, 51 crews, 136 people and 51 specialized vehicles are involved.

In the Ryazan region, 110 crews of 460 people and 130 specialized vehicles are involved.

In the Vladimir region, 71 crews of power engineers are involved, consisting of 240 people and 87 specialized vehicles.

To ensure energy supply to social institutions and infrastructure facilities, reserve sources of electricity supply are used.

The power engineers of Rosseti will continue to work non-stop until the complete restoration of power supply to consumers.
