General Director of Rosseti Centre - the managing organization of Rosseti Centre and Volga Region Igor Makovskiy inspected the quality of operation of the electric grid complex in the Orel region

14 January 2020

General Director of IDGC of Centre - the managing organization of IDGC of Centre and Volga Region (operating under the brands of Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga Region) Igor Makovskiy made a working trip to the Orel region, where he inspected the quality of operation of the electric grid complex of the region.

During the visit, the head of the company went to the base of the Kromsky Distribution Zone of the branch “Rosseti Centre Orelenergo”, where as a result of a major overhaul of the building carried out in 2019, both the living conditions of employees and the level of customer service were substantially improved in accordance with the standards adopted by the Ministry of Energy of Russia.

Igor Makovskiy paid particular attention to the work of dispatchers, since the unified dispatch centre was formed on the basis of the Kromsky Distribution Zone for 3 districts of the region: Dmitrovsky, Trosnyansky and Kromsky. “It is important to understand the enormous social significance of the process of centralizing control centres. They bring the electric power industry to a qualitatively new level of efficiency, increase the reliability of power supply to consumers, reduce the time of forced interruptions in power supply, and ultimately reduce the growth rate of the tariff burden on consumers,” stressed the head of Rosseti Centre.

Then Igor Makovskiy visited the 35/10 kV “Kromskaya” substation, which supplies the central hospital, kindergartens, schools, the district administration, the prosecutor’s office and the production base of the agro-industrial holding “Miratorg”. General Director drew the attention of the management of the Orel branch of Rosseti Centre to strict adherence to the deadlines for fulfilling applications for connection to grids, since Kromy is today one of the industrial centres of the Orel region, and the company’s tasks include creating a favourable investment microclimate to stimulate the development of small and medium business.

“Our priority is to increase the reliability of the electric grid complex and its advanced development in order to satisfy the needs of the growing economy of the region in new capacity. In addition, we are implementing the optimal model for managing the grid complex, modernizing the grids and applying new technologies, which will reduce the time and cost of connecting to the grid, as well as provide control over the work and management of the entire technological chain from power centres to end consumers,” stressed Igor Makovskiy.

In addition, Igor Makovskiy held a meeting with the staff of the Kromsky Distribution Zone, which was also attended by chiefs of Distribution Zone and heads of subdivisions, where he identified the improvement of labour efficiency as the main task for the power engineers: “Forcing the pace of work and early implementation of digital transformation projects will allow you to experience the effects already in the near future: this will reduce the failure rate and operating costs, which will allow us to use the released funds to improve the quality of the services provided.”
