More than 700 million rubles allocated for labour protection and ensuring the industrial safety of employees of Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga Region since the beginning of the year

Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga Region* pay great attention to labour protection and ensuring the industrial safety of their employees. For 9 months of 2019, the companies allocated 748 million rubles for these purposes. The bulk of the funds, 575.6 million rubles, is aimed at providing workers with overalls, personal protective equipment and devices that reduce the risk of injury during work. Compared to the same period last year, this amount increased by 2 million rubles.

122 million rubles were allocated for sanitary and hygienic measures for prevention of diseases in production, and 18.9 million rubles were allocated for general improvement of working conditions of the company’s employees.

“Our company is a responsible employer. And, no less important, we consider it obligatory for ourselves to promote the implementation of the state policy in the field of social protection of citizens. Therefore, protecting the lives and health of our employees, creating comfortable, safe working conditions for them is our most important task,” stressed Igor Makovskiy, General Director of Rosseti Centre - the managing organization of Rosseti Centre and Volga Region.

In order to monitor compliance with safety requirements, inspections of working crews are regularly organized in all branches of the companies. Measures are taken to organize the safe performance of scheduled and emergency operations in electrical installations, improving internal technical control systems and operational-technological management.

Labour Safety Days are held on a monthly basis, in the framework of which work is carried out with personnel on prevention of industrial injuries, the sanitary and hygienic conditions of household premises, the fire condition of buildings and structures, provision with protective clothing, footwear and personal protective equipment are checked.

As part of road traffic safety, Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga Region continue to train specialists in the Defensive Driving Program, which aims to develop situational thinking skills, defensive behaviour on the road, improve concentration, recognize dangers and predict actions of other participants in the traffic. For nine months, about two thousand employees of the companies received safe driving skills.
