#TOGETHERBRIGHTER: power engineers of Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga Region on the wave of the festival

24 September 2019

More than 130 thematic events for 19,000 guests were held by the energy companies Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga Region as part of the fourth All-Russian festival of energy conservation. Residents of 95 settlements from the regions of operations of the electric grid companies became participants in lessons, family events, contests, and quests.

Every year, Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga Region actively support the initiative of the Ministry of Energy of Russia aimed at fostering a younger generation of respect for energy and the environment. On the territory of 20 regions of the Central and Volga Federal Districts, the festival traditionally started in May. The first baton of the festival was taken in Kirovenergo, which organized the thematic holiday “Energy Night”, which brought together more than 1,500 guests in the Museum of Energy.

With the onset of summer, festival events moved to children’s city and country camps and libraries. The Interregional “Know and Keep” marathon was held in a number of regions of Rosseti Centre and Volga Region, uniting vacationers from the Nizhny Novgorod, Kaluga, Vladimir, Tula, Ivanovo regions, as well as children from the Udmurt Republic. Quests, quizzes and team games made it possible to captivate all participants in the events by studying the rules of energy conservation and the principles of eco-life. Members of student crews were actively involved in organizing lessons and holidays. “We save energy - we protect the planet”, under this motto, an action was held in Ryazanenergo, organized jointly with participants of the “Potential” student crew of the Radio Engineering University. Within the framework of the festival, Kostromaenergo’s power engineers organized the “Energy Saving Lesson” in the children’s camp “Children of Berendeyevka”.

With the beginning of the school year, the festival hosts Open Doors Days at facilities of the electric grid complex of the branches. Children from Bryansk, Kursk, Kostroma, Tambov, Smolensk, Belgorod, Kaluga and the Mari El Republic and other cities have already visited the heart of the region’s energy system. Large-scale city family holidays are annually supported by power engineers in almost all 20 regions. At sites of parks, shopping centres, specialists arrange exhibitions of energy-efficient equipment, interactive platforms and photo zones. Employees of Rosseti Centre Belgorodenergo together with the Housing and Utilities Department of the Belgorod Region conducted a lesson for students “Energy Saver in the Digital City”. More than 30 pupils of the 4th grade of Belgorod Lyceum No. 32 took part in the event. Employees of the branch “Rosseti Centre Tambovenergo” took part in organizing the annual city holiday for first graders held in Tambov as part of the All-Russian project “Children are our Future”. And in Nizhny Novgorod, they summed up the creative contest for children #Isave, devoted to the problems of overconsumption and environmental pollution. Events in support of the festival #TogetherBrighter will continue until the end of autumn. Residents of the regions are waiting for thematic family holidays, lessons in schools and creative contests.

Please, be reminded that the All-Russian Festival received the support of the Ministry of Energy of Russia, the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia, the State Corporation “Fund for Assistance to Reforming Housing and Public Utilities”, the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs (Rosmolodezh) and the Russian schoolchildren movement. The partner in organizing the festival is traditionally PJSC Rosseti. In 2018, the social campaign events #TogetherBrighter were held in 76 regions of Russia, including 1,500 municipal districts and urban districts of the country. About 3,500,000 schoolchildren participated in the festival program. Summing up the fourth All-Russian festival is scheduled for 5 October 2019 as part of the Youth Day #TogetherBrighter at the site of the International Forum “Russian Energy Week” in Moscow.
