Igor Makovskiy: we are implementing digital transformation ahead of schedule

A professional board of Rosseti Centre - the managing organization of Rosseti Centre and Volga Region* was held in Moscow. The event was chaired by General Director of the Company, Igor Makovskiy, and was attended by deputy general directors, heads of key functional areas and divisions, and directors of 20 regional branches.

The board was opened by Igor Makovskiy. In his opening remarks, the head of the company summed up the work of Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga Region in the first half of 2019, highlighting the results of the assignments given by him to the heads of the main functional areas and branches following the first board meeting. In particular, they related to increasing the efficiency of the Company’s activities, developing and modernizing the electric grid complex, strengthening work to reduce losses, cut costs and decrease accounts receivables.

“The Companies approached the equator of the year with positive financial indicators. Effective work was carried out in terms of ensuring reliable and high-quality power supply to consumers, creating favourable conditions for the economic development of the regions of operations. The heating period was successfully completed, preparations are under way for the next winter. The production program is being implemented with over-fulfillment of the plan. Much has been done for the development of the electric grid complex. More than 1.2 thousand MVA of transformer capacity and 5.3 thousand kilometres of power lines were commissioned,” stressed the head of Rosseti Centre - the managing organization of Rosseti Centre and Volga Region.

Igor Makovskiy gave a significant place in his speech to the implementation of the concept of digital transformation. According to him, a qualitative start was made here. Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga Region are already in the lead of this key process for the country. “We set the task to realize the digital transformation measures ahead of schedule - and we are solving it successfully. This will allow the Company to be among the first in the industry to take full advantage of its effects,” stressed the head of the Companies.

Then, the deputy general directors for directions and the heads of the branches of Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga Region made reports on the main performance results for the reporting period and plans for the second half of the year. The results of the end-to-end production rating of Distribution Zones and branches of the Companies were discussed in detail, on the basis of which digital transformation measures, achievement of targeted financial and economic indicators, implementation of the investment program, plans for maintenance and repair of electric grid facilities, loss reduction, grid connection and sale of value-added services are performed and adjusted.

Summing up the results of the board, Igor Makovskiy noted that in the first half of the year Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga Region carried out unprecedented work in terms of their intensity and productivity. “It was a difficult, but at the same time very interesting time. We received invaluable experience, which, of course, will be useful to us in the future. I am confident that, keeping the pace and attitude taken, we will successfully cope with tasks of any scale and complexity,” stressed the head of Rosseti Centre - the managing organization of Rosseti Centre and Volga Region.
