The sixth labour season of student crews continues in Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga Region*. Since the beginning of July, more than 600 students of higher and secondary specialized educational institutions have been working at energy facilities of the companies. Under the guidance of experienced mentors, they are involved in the inspection and repair of electrical equipment, checking and taking readings of metering devices (meters), updating dispatching names, preparing technical specifications and technical conditions for grid connection, as well as perform a number of other works.
Since the beginning of the labour shift, students from the crews “Energet” and “Phoenix” of the branch “Kurskenergo” together with specialists from Distribution Zones conducted about 1,000 rounds of private sector customers in order to detect and prevent electricity theft. The same number of customers was checked by their colleagues from the Kostroma crew “Energy 44” and the Kaluga crew “Breakthrough”. The members of the crew “Prometheus” from the Republic of Mari El during this time visited with checks 286 settlements of the region. And guys from the Tambov crew “Energy” took readings of more than 2,100 metering devices. Students from the crew “Anchor” of the branch “Kirovenergo” assembled 263 remote metering devices. And members of the crew “Energetic” of the branch “Kurskenergo” provided admission to operation of more than 350 new smart meters.
Participants of the labour semester also actively participate in significant non-production actions. The crew “Energy 44”, along with mentors, specialists, organizes interdepartmental route safety games in country health camps. Students of the crews “12 kW of youth”, “Iskra” and “Dielectrics” of the branch “Lipetskenergo” conducted several electrical safety classes in kindergartens and camps. In addition, citizens of Lipetsk organized a campaign “Books to Libraries”. Guys from the Bryansk crew “Synergy 32” took part in the Donor Day and held a voluntary clean-up event in the reserve “Bryansk Forest”.
Specialists of the branches traditionally help the participants of the student crews to spend their time with use. The Youth Council of the branch “Tambovenergo” organized a round table for students and a creative competition to create projects for lighting socially significant facilities. The participants of the Smolensk crews were able to take part in the Sports Games of the region’s power engineers. And representatives of the Orel crew “Grid worker” - in a youth rally and the team building training held as part of it. In addition, at the end of this week, the young people will have a tour to the most high-tech energy facilities of “Orelenergo”. The members of the student crew “Prometheus 2019” from “Ivenergo” will soon take part in the 12th Sports Games of the branch and events of the All-Russian Energy Saving Festival #VmesteYarche. The sixth season of student energy crews will be completed in mid-August.
