Student crews set to work at facilities of Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga Region

1 July 2019

The sixth season of the student energy crews of Rosseti’s Group of Companies started in Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga Region. Within one and a half months, more than 600 students of higher and secondary specialized educational institutions will work at energy facilities of the company. Today solemn assemblies were held at branches, where they were given work permits.

Compared to last year, the number of participants in the student crews of Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga Region grew by more than a hundred people. This is due, among other things, to the fact that in order to implement the project to create a network of regional support secondary vocational schools, students from such educational institutions are actively involved in the crews. The crew members are officially employed, provided with special clothing and dress uniform. In anticipation of the labour season, they all passed the exam for the second group of electrical safety, which is a prerequisite for admission to work. The students will participate in inspections and repair of electrical equipment, checking and taking readings of metering devices, updating dispatching names, removing logging residues during clearing glades and other work. In addition, they are planning to involve them in conducting electrical safety lessons and thematic route games in children’s health camps. Representatives of the crews will also take part in events in support of the All-Russian Energy Saving Festival #TogetherBrighter.

As in previous years, the energy company has planned for the students useful leisure and an extensive cultural program: tours to power facilities and museums of regional energy systems, visiting memorable places and attractions, competitions and contests. 25 participants of the student crews of the branch “Rosseti Centre Lipetskenergo” already attended the professional skills competition of crews for repair and maintenance of 0.4-10 kV distribution grids. They appreciated the mastery of the best power engineers in Central Russia and Volga region and took part in the closing ceremony of the competition. In addition, the students will become participants in campaigns and socially significant events held by branches.

* From June 2019, all companies of the transmission and distribution grid complex in corporate and marketing communications, as well as on all corporate identity carriers will use the new name containing the Rosseti trademark and regional or functional binding.
