During the period from 30 April to 5 May and from 9 May to 12 May 2019, IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Centre and Volga Region will operate in a reinforced mode. Specialists of the two companies will provide round-the-clock control over the operation of the power grid.
To ensure uninterrupted power supply to consumers, the companies took all necessary measures.
“On weekends and holidays, a great responsibility is placed on power engineers, therefore, a special mode of operation is introduced for this period in the grid companies. During the spring celebrations, the work of dispatching and technical services, duty operators of substations of branches, first responding mobile crews will be in the high availability mode being ready for immediate departure to carry out emergency recovery works continuously,” stressed the head of IDGC of Centre - the managing organization of IDGC of Centre and Volga Igor Makovskiy.
In order to avoid disconnection of consumers on holidays, the most reliable power supply scheme will be maintained: all kinds of work on existing equipment of power grid facilities, except for restoration works are suspended, for which off-road vehicles, tools, materials and protective equipment are prepared.
In advance, on the eve of the holidays, in order to prevent situations of de-energizing consumers, the experts of both power companies checked the technical condition of the equipment and emergency control devices, the presence of an emergency supply of materials, and the availability of backup power supply sources. In addition, additional measures were taken to enhance fire safety, an inspection of the fire condition of industrial and domestic premises, auxiliary and ancillary buildings and structures, mobile repair shops and crew vehicles was carried out.
