IDGC of Centre - the managing organization of IDGC of Centre and Volga Region summarized the results of personnel training in the first quarter of 2019. About 8 thousand employees of the Company received new knowledge and skills in the framework of various forms of training. About 95% of the total number of the trainees are representatives of industrial specialties. Among those who received new knowledge were representatives of administrative and managerial specialties (425 people), including 203 managers at various levels, as well as 41 employees related to support staff.
3,076 employees passed professional training, retraining and advanced training in corporate training centres. 2,789 power engineers completed various advanced training courses.
In order to continuously improve the knowledge and skills of employees, the company regularly launches new training projects. Much attention is paid to obtaining new competencies by employees within the framework of the digital transformation concept, the practical implementation of which started this year. In March, the first group of chief engineers of branches of IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Centre and Volga Region completed training on the new advanced training program “Foundations of IEC 61850 Standard. The current state and prospects of development of digital substations” on the basis of Ivanovo State Power Engineering University (ISPU). During the training, the participants studied the concept of innovative development of the electric power industry “The Intelligent Electric Power System with the Smart Grid”, the structure of the digital substation, received other relevant knowledge on the topic. In the future, the training for this program will be held for heads of relay protection and automation services and divisions for development and operation of automated dispatch control systems of the company’s branches, specialists and engineers directly involved in setting up and maintaining digital equipment.
The agreement on the development of a special training program for employees of IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Centre and Volga Region on the basis of ISPU on the IEC 61850 application and organization of a digital substation was reached during the visit of General Director of IDGC of Centre - the managing organization of IDGC of Centre and Volga Region Igor Makovskiy to ISPU in January of the current year. “Digital transformation is not only equipment and technologies, but also a fundamental change in the consciousness of our employees, increasing their professional competencies in accordance with the requirements of the time. We intend to pay serious attention to this issue,” the head of the company stresses.
The concept of personnel training of IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Centre and Volga Region implies continuous training of all categories. The result of this approach is, in particular, an increase in the number of employees with higher education. Currently, the company employs 21.5 thousand specialists with higher education, more than 2,100 employees have two or more high school diplomas, 67 are candidates of science, one is a doctor of science. The number of personnel of IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Centre and Volga Region is currently about 52.9 thousand people.
