During his working visit to the Yaroslavl region, General Director of IDGC of Centre - the managing organization of IDGC of Centre and Volga Region Igor Makovskiy met with the labour team of the branch “Yarenergo” and monitored the execution of instructions that he set to Yarenergo on his last visit in November last year. The head of the company paid special attention to the need to strengthen work to combat electricity losses.
“Reducing losses is a crucial point for the effective operation of the company. We are obliged to carry out effective work in this area and show the result,” stressed Igor Makovskiy.
At a meeting with the management of the branch, the head of the company discussed the results of the autumn-winter period operation. The main indicator of the successful passage of the autumn-winter period are failure rates. Thus, the branch “Yarenergo” managed to reduce the level of failures in the 0.4-110 kV grid compared with the previous period, to decrease the amount of undersupply of electricity and the average duration of interruptions in the power supply to consumers. During the autumn-winter period of 2018/2019, the branch did not allow any significant failures at the electric grid facilities. In addition, in January and February, the staff of the Yaroslavl branch took part in emergency recovery work in the service area of Lenenergo for the elimination of emergency outages associated with adverse weather events.
Another issue that was raised at the meeting was the long-term development of the Yaroslavl branch. The head of the company noted that the development of the power system should go along an innovative path with a wide use of modern technologies, in particular, digital. And the main goal of the power engineers is high reliability and quality of power supply to consumers. It is for these indicators that residents evaluate the work of the power engineers.
As part of the implementation of the projects of the digital transformation program, the branch intends to create the “Digital Distribution Zone” on the basis of Tutaevsky Distribution Zone in 2019-2020, automate and ensure the observability of the distribution grid of the district. A phased reconstruction of the 110/35/10 kV substation “Abbakumtsevo” with the use of “digital substation” technology is also provided.
Igor Makovskiy stressed that, in addition to improving reliability, digital transformation will have a positive effect on reducing power losses and improving quality indicators.
Also, during the visit, General Director of IDGC of Centre held a meeting with experts of the security unit of Yarenergo. Igor Makovskiy set the task of strengthening the work of the unit in key areas, in particular, to improve payment discipline.
