General Director of IDGC of Centre - the managing organization of IDGC of Centre and Volga Region Igor Makovskiy, during his working visit to the Ivanovo region, met with the staff of the branch “Ivenergo”.
At a meeting with the branch’s employees, Igor Makovskiy introduced Alexey Vasilyev, who will act as the branch’s director in the Ivanovo region. The head of the company described the new head of the branch “Ivenergo” as a highly qualified professional with the necessary experience and knowledge to achieve the goals set for the region’s power grid complex.
Further, the head of the company reviewed in detail the results of the passage of the heating period of 2018–2019 by the branch “Ivenergo” and the results of production activities in the past year and in the first quarter of 2019. Igor Makovskiy noted that all the planned activities for preparing for work during the heating period were carried out in full and in accordance with the established deadlines. In 2018, Ivanovo power engineers carried out repair work on power equipment at 140 substations of 35-110 kV, repaired 565 transformer substations of 10-6/0.4 kV and over 2,400 km of power lines of all voltage classes, cleared about 1,200 ha from vegetation along routes of overhead lines.
Also, during the meeting, issues of improving the results of the enterprise’s work in terms of reducing losses through the use of energy monitoring and “smart metering” systems, improving the quality of operational and technological management and reliability of overhead lines were considered. The head of the company gave instructions to maintain reliable operation of electric grids during the flood period: “In our zone of special attention there should be substations and power line poles located in places of possible flooding. I draw your attention to the fact that electric installations providing power supply for socially significant facilities should also be under constant control,” emphasized Igor Makovskiy, addressing his colleagues.
Speaking about improving the reliability of existing equipment, the head of the company said that during 2019, the power engineers of the branch “Ivenergo” will repair 2,423 km of overhead lines of various voltage classes. In the distribution grids of 0.4-6-10 kV, 596 transformer substations will be repaired, over 1,200 poles of overhead lines and more than 10 thousand insulators will be replaced. On overhead lines of 6-10 kV, the power engineers will replace 55 km of uninsulated wire with self-supporting insulated wire (SIW), which will significantly increase the reliability of the power system. Also, in 2019 more than 1,200 hectares of routes along 0.4–110 kV overhead lines will be cleared from trees and shrubs.
“The planned measures will allow increasing the reliability of electricity supply to consumers, life support facilities, socially significant facilities and industrial enterprises of the Ivanovo region. The repair campaign is also aimed at preparing the power grid complex in the region for a successful heating period,” emphasized Igor Makovskiy.
