Special attention is paid to maintenance of outdoor and indoor switchgears, oil warehouses, auxiliary buildings and structures, workshops, and security zones of overhead power lines and substations. Facilities are also checked for completeness of fire extinguishing equipment.

In all branches of IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Centre and Volga Region, joint trainings and exercises are planned with participation of the executive authorities of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, territorial divisions of the EMERCOM of Russia, local authorities, representatives of other organizations and subjects of the electric power industry to work out the interaction in case of elimination of emergency situations with the threat of power failure in the period of high temperatures. In total, in IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Centre and Volga Region, in the aftermath of technological violations, including fires, 168 mobile emergency recovery crews of more than 1,000 people and more than 330 automotive and specialized vehicles can be involved.

In addition, the power engineers conduct an active outreach work with the population, recommending citizens to take extra caution during the fire hazard period, to prevent the occurrence of emergencies.

The full implementation of fire prevention measures significantly reduces the risk of fire and economic damage from them. Therefore, the company takes all possible measures to minimize the likelihood of fire at power facilities and to ensure reliable and uninterrupted power supply to consumers.
