6 specialists of IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Centre and Volga Region presented their companies at the qualifying module of the International Youth Energy Forum of PJSC ROSSETI

Last weekend, at the site of the Moscow School of Management Skolkovo, a selection module of the International Youth Energy Forum (IYEF) of PJSC ROSSETI - 2019 was held, which was attended by over 40 members of the youth personnel reserve of ROSSETI’s Group of Companies from all over Russia. The purpose of the event is to identify leaders among young specialists of ROSSETI’s Group of Companies who in the future can become agents of innovative processes in the power grid complex.

“Search and training of future leaders of digital transformation becomes the key to the successful implementation of innovative equipment, new technological platforms and business models in companies of the electric grid complex,” stressed Igor Makovskiy, General Director of IDGC of Centre - the managing organization of IDGC of Centre and Volga Region.

6 specialists presented IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Centre and Volga Region (included in ROSSETI’s Group of Companies) in the qualifying module of the International Youth Energy Forum (IYEF) of PJSC ROSSETI - 2019.

The main topic of the forum this year is “Digital transformation of the electric power industry”. The participants were given the task, using the foresight session methodology, to predict key trends in the development of the electric power industry until 2030. The organizers motivated the participants to develop the professional and leadership competencies required during the transition to the digital grid, presented them with the current trends in the global electric power industry.

The specialists of IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Centre and Volga Region showed themselves worthily in the course of business games and design works of the qualifying module. According to the results of this stage, Roman Stepanov, the leading engineer of the IT infrastructure and telecommunications administration a development of a branch of IDGC of Centre and Volga Region - Udmurtenergo, entered the top ten and will represent our company in ROSSETI’s team.

“I could not even imagine how vivid the impressions from the first day of the forum would be. I wanted to absorb as much information as possible, to learn from the experience of guys from different parts of Russia, teachers, top managers of the largest energy companies. A huge number of interested people concentrated in one place,” says Roman Stepanov. “I hope that my knowledge of an IT specialist in the field of automation of labour and work processes relating to data transfer and processing will also be useful to the forum participants.

In the framework of the IYEF-2019, well-known Russian business coaches will work with the team of young power engineers from ROSSETI to improve communication skills, professional confidence and stress tolerance. The result of the Moscow qualifying stage will be the development of design works on digital transformation in the electric power industry.

The best members of “ROSSETI’s Team” will go further and in May will meet with their colleagues from foreign countries participating in the IYEF in China. The final event with protection of projects will be held in June in the framework of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
