Winners of the volleyball tournament among teams of ROSSETI’s Group of Companies named

The solemn closing of the volleyball tournament among teams of ROSSETI’s Group of Companies took place in Belgorod. For two days, 140 power engineering athletes from 13 volleyball teams representing subsidiaries and affiliated companies from across the country, fought for the main volleyball tournament Cup.

The athletes demonstrated real will to win, fierce, fair, uncompromising game. As a result, the first place and the main trophy of the competitions was won by the team of PJSC “Tyumenenergo”. At the second stage the team of IDGC of Volga, PJSC. The sports squad of PJSC “MOESK” closes the top three.

Each participating team showed good results, the volleyball players responsible for certain roles in the team played a considerable role. Dmitry Makarov from Tyumenenergo was recognized as the best player of the tournament, Roman Ulyakhin from IDGC of Volga - the best server. Denis Remiz from Tyumenenergo became the best setter, Dmitry Bayguzov from IDGC of Volga - the best blocker, and Artem Patrikeev from MOESK - the best spiker.

When awarding the winners, Pavel Rogozin, the coordinator of sports work at PJSC ROSSETI, thanked all the participants in the tournament for their will to win, corporate spirit, nice play, and noted the strong unifying effect of such sports events. “Our tournament was held at a high professional level and gave a lot of emotions and good mood. The winners of the competitions will represent ROSSETI in the industry round of the Ministry of Energy, which will be held in early April in Moscow,” he stressed.

The honoured guest of the festival is the sports director of the volleyball club “Belogorie”, the Olympic champion Taras Khtey welcomed the participants on the Belgorod land and congratulated the power engineering athletes with the great game. “I watched the semi-final and final matches. It was pleasant to watch the high level of professional skills of the winners and prize winners of the tournament. The game was honest and very emotional. Thank you for these bright emotions, and the organizers of the tournament for the harmonious process and attention to detail,” said the famous volleyball player. For the contribution to the development of sports, supporting healthy lifestyles and organizing the Tournament among the teams of ROSSETI’s Group of Companies, he presented a letter of thanks of the Belgorod Regional Volleyball Federation to Deputy General Director of IDGC of Centre - Belgorodenergo division director Sergey Demidov.

Sergey Demidov, summing up, noted that the athletes of IDGC of Centre - the managing organization of IDGC of Centre and Volga Region had a good experience in competing in volleyball, saw the skill level of their colleagues. “Participation in the tournament will be an additional incentive to work on mistakes and be in the mood for future victories,” he stressed.
