Igor Makovskiy: “Today, the power grid complex is on the threshold of major transformations - and we are ready to be at their forefront”

Today, on 22 March, the two-day colleagues’ meeting of IDGC of Centre - the managing organization of IDGC of Centre and Volga Region, chaired by the Company’s General Director Igor Makovskiy, began its work in Moscow. About 100 people took part in it - heads of the main functional areas and subdivisions and directors of 20 regional branches.

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Centre and Volga Region Alexander Kazakov addressed the audience with a welcoming speech. He stressed that the company is one of the largest and most advanced in the domestic power grid complex and many companies try to be equal to it. This was confirmed by the results of its work last year, said Alexander Kazakov.

Igor Makovskiy started the work of the colleagues’ meeting. In his opening speech, the head of the company noted that in 2018 IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Centre and Volga Region achieved positive results in providing reliable and high-quality power supply to consumers in 20 regions of the country, in creating favourable conditions for the economic development of the regions of the service area. Listing the main achievements, Igor Makovskiy focused on problematic issues and ways to solve them. In particular, he instructed the heads of relevant areas and branches of the Company to improve the efficiency of work to reduce losses. In addition, the branches’ directors were instructed to develop programs to light settlements of the regions, based on their actual needs. The head of the company also pointed out the need to synchronize all the Company’s production programs with the activities of the digitalization matrix of the electric grid complex of IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Centre and Volga Region, the full-scale implementation of which will start this year.

“Today, the electric grid complex is on the threshold of major transformations, it is necessary to quickly and efficiently adapt to modern technological trends and respond to the demands of consumers. And this year in this regard for the Company will be largely decisive,” stressed Igor Makovskiy.

First Deputy General Director - Chief Engineer of IDGC of Centre Alexander Pilyugin, who spoke next, summarized the Company’s production activities in 2018. It was about the implementation of production programs, the preparation and passage of the heating period, the successful solution of problems to reduce failures in the grids and to reduce the time of emergency recovery operations.

And Acting First Deputy General Director of IDGC of Centre Vitaly Akulichev spoke about the results of the preparation work for the implementation of the digital transformation concept at IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Centre and Volga Region. In detail, Vitaly Akulichev dwelled on the results of the end-to-end production rating of the Company’s Distribution Zones, which became one of the bases for the formation of a detailed matrix of the digitalization project.

Deputy General Director for Sale and Development of Services Konstantin Petukhov acquainted the participants with the results of the work on electricity transmission, grid connection and sale of value-added services, as well as measures taken to reduce receivables.

The important issue that was considered by the participants of the colleagues’ meeting was the results of the financial and economic activities of the Company. Deputy General Director for Economy and Finance Alexander Inozemtsev said about its steady and profitable work in 2018 in his speech.

Also, reports on the results of the work were made by directors of the branches of IDGC of Centre. The main theme of the second day of the work of the colleagues’ meeting will be the results of execution in 2019 of the agreement on the transfer of IDGC of Centre and Volga Region’s sole executive authority to IDGC of Centre in 2018 and tasks for 2019.
