A factory for production of food, alcohol and fodder yeast of Angel Yeast Rus., Ltd., a subsidiary of the Chinese company Angel Yeast Co., Ltd., one of the world’s largest yeast producers, has opened in the Lipetsk region. The company, located on the territory of the special economic zone “Dankov”, will become the largest in Europe and the most modern in Russia in its field. It will produce 15 thousand tons of dry yeast per year, the same amount of compressed yeast and another 30 thousand tons of organic fertilizers. The products will be delivered to different regions of Russia, to countries of the near abroad, as well as to the Middle East.
Power output with a maximum capacity of 2 MW to the new plant was provided by IDGC of Centre. For this, the power engineers constructed a section of a 10 kV overhead line with a length of 1.2 km with installation of additional reinforced concrete poles, and also laid 2.1 km of a 10 kV cable line. Providing power supply for new industries, including one of the agro-industrial sectors that is key to Central Russia, the company makes a significant contribution to the economic development of the regions in its service area.
