In the coming days, a number of regions in the Central and Volga Federal Districts are expected to experience worsening weather conditions: heavy snow, blizzard, ice, sleet sticking, and snow drifts. According to forecasts of meteorologists, bad weather to some extent can affect a number of regions of activity of IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Centre and Volga Region (they operate in 20 regions of the Central and Volga Federal Districts). Power engineers of both companies have been mobilized and are ready to eliminate consequences of possible technological violations.

In the branches “Lipetskenergo” of IDGC of Centre and “Ivenergo” of IDGC of Centre and Volga Region, in whose area of responsibility bad weather is predicted in the near future, a high alert mode has been introduced. Special control over operation of power facilities has been set up. Information exchange with territorial divisions of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and executive authorities has been organized. Operational and maintenance personnel have been mobilized. All crews are equipped with necessary tools, devices, clothing, provided with off-road specialized vehicles, prepared to work around the clock in all conditions.
