In recent days, a lot of precipitation has fallen in the Leningrad region. Because of this, at present there is heavy accumulation of snow on power lines and trees, which causes technological disruptions in grids. At the same time, meteorologists predict the snowfall continuation.

Due to the unfavourable weather conditions in the region, Lenenergo (part of ROSSETI’s group) switched to a special mode of operation from 15 January. Crews from neighbouring regions were sent to help the power engineers of the northwestern region.
