Governor of the Kostroma region Sergey Sitnikov and General Director of IDGC of Centre Igor Makovskiy discussed topical issues of functioning and development of the regional power grid complex

16 January 2019

A working meeting of Governor of the Kostroma Region Sergey Sitnikov and General Director of IDGC of Centre - the managing organization of IDGC of Centre and Volga Region Igor Makovskiy was held in Kostroma. The parties discussed issues of ensuring reliable electricity supply to consumers of the Kostroma region.

Igor Makovskiy discussed with the head of the region plans and tasks of the branch “Kostromaenergo” in the field of reconstruction of power grid facilities, which will improve the reliability of the branch’s grids. So, in the branch “Kostromaenergo” within the framework of the investment program of 2019, the implementation of the project “Digital Distribution Zone” in Nerekhtsky district is planned, within which a distribution automation system will be created on 16 overhead lines of 10 kV with installation of 17 reclosers.

In his turn, Sergey Sitnikov praised the company for its systematic work to improve the quality of power supply to consumers in the Kostroma region and showed willingness to support initiatives proposed by IDGC of Centre at the regional level.

“The branch “Kostromaenergo” is distinguished by its discipline in grids and in the team. The Kostroma region is very large, the grid is lengthy. But the employees of the branch can work, ensuring stable energy supply to consumers,” stressed the head of the region Sergey Sitnikov.

The meeting also addressed the issue of creating the unified Grid Control Centre in Kostromaenergo, which will combine the competencies of managing the main and distribution grid in the region. Currently, the design and estimate documentation is being developed, and by the end of 2023 the Kostroma Grid Control Centre will begin its work in a new format, which will significantly increase the observability and controllability of power grid facilities.

After hearing the information provided, Sergey Sitnikov stressed that, if necessary, the regional administration is ready to provide the necessary assistance.

During the meeting, Sergey Sitnikov drew the attention of Igor Makovskiy to the need to work out the issue of reducing the time of connection of enterprises to power grids. The head of IDGC of Centre assured that he would see to this direction personally.

“We will soon develop and present an action plan, under which the terms of connection to the branch’s grid will be reduced,” commented Igor Makovskiy.
