IDGC of Centre - the managing organization of IDGC of Centre and Volga Region summed up the work during the New Year holidays. Thanks to careful preparatory work, competent leadership and high professionalism, during this period the power engineers were able to provide reliable power supply to consumers in all regions of the Company’s service area (it operates in 20 regions of the Russian Federation).
On the eve of the holidays, the company’s specialists checked the technical condition of the equipment and emergency control automation, the presence of an emergency stock of materials, and the readiness for operation of backup power supply sources. Fire and counter-terrorism security was increased at all power facilities. Additionally, the alert and call schemes of the operating and maintenance personnel and the readiness of dispatch control systems for prompt elimination of possible technological violations were checked. Communication schemes and procedures for interaction with law enforcement agencies, unified duty-dispatch services, territorial divisions of the EMERCOM and Rostekhnadzor, executive authorities and local governments, operating companies of PJSC ROSSETI, other territorial electrical grid organizations were also verified.
Throughout all the holidays, IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Centre and Volga Region carried round-the-clock duty of assigned heads of executive staff, branches and production departments, specialists of dispatching and technical services, staff of substations on duty, as well as operating and maintenance crews provided with all necessary equipment and specialized vehicles. To prevent consumers’ disconnections during this period, the most reliable power supply was maintained. All types of work on the existing equipment of power grid facilities were suspended.
If necessary, 2,872 crews consisting of more than 13 thousand people, 4,409 automobile and specialized vehicles, as well as resources of contracting organizations could be involved in the elimination of technological violations in all branches of IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Centre and Volga Region. They had at their disposal about 1,709 backup power supply sources with a total installed capacity of about 56.16 MW, which could be used to temporarily supply power, primarily to socially important regional facilities. During all the holidays, the operation of the electric grid complex of IDGC of Centre - the managing organization of IDGC of Centre and Volga Region was under the personal control of the head of the company Igor Makovskiy. On a daily basis, he heard reports on the situation in the regions where the Company operates and, if necessary, made adjustments relating to the operation of systems of operational and technical management and interaction between structural units.
