Power engineers of IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Centre and Volga Region work in the maximum operation mode under conditions of snowfall predicted in the regions of the Central Federal District and the Volga Federal District

8 January 2019

According to meteorological forecasts, on Tuesday, 8 January, in most regions of the service area of IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Centre and Volga Region (operating in 20 regions of the Russian Federation), snowfalls are expected. In this regard, power engineers of the two companies are operating in the maximum operation mode: they have strengthened control over the operation of electric grid facilities and are ready to take all necessary measures to ensure uninterrupted power supply to consumers.

The power engineers additionally have checked the technical condition of equipment and emergency control automation, the availability of an emergency stock of materials, and the readiness for operation of backup power supply sources. The notification and call schemes for operating and maintenance personnel was also checked. Additional instructions were given to staff on duty.

Please, be reminded that to ensure reliable and uninterrupted operation of the power grid complex on holidays and weekends from 30 December to 8 January, IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Centre and Volga Region switched to an enhanced operation mode. The companies organized round-the-clock duty of dispatching and technical services, employees of operating and maintenance crews, duty substations of branches and managers. Special control over the operation of electrical equipment and power lines was set.

The communication scheme and procedure for interaction with services of the EMERCOM, territorial divisions of Rostechnadzor, executive authorities and local governments, operating companies of PJSC ROSSETI, and other territorial electric grid organizations were developed. Additional measures of fire safety and antiterrorist protection of facilities of the electric grid complex were taken.

If necessary, 2,872 crews consisting of more than 13 thousand people, 4,409 automobile and specialized vehicles, as well as resources of contracting organizations can be involved in the elimination of technological violations in all branches of the power companies. They have at their disposal about 1,709 backup power supply sources with a total installed capacity of about 56.16 MW, which can be used to temporarily supply power. The power supply of socially significant facilities of the regions is under special control of the power engineers.

The Contact Centres of the companies process calls related to electricity supply issues around the clock: IDGC of Centre by number: 8-800-50-50-115 (toll-free), and IDGC of Centre and Volga Region by number 8-800-100-33-00 (toll-free).

Also, on issues related to electricity, you can contact the portal of PJSC ROSSETI “Light Country”. This project of PJSC ROSSETI was created in order to establish feedback with consumers of electrical energy and is designed to provide the public with the opportunity to quickly communicate with the supplier of electrical energy on-line.

With the help of the Portal “Light Country” consumers can submit messages about such problems as power outages, fluctuations or low voltage, defects in operation of electrical equipment. Problem reports are processed centrally, in the unified Moderation Service of PJSC ROSSETI.
