Today, 27 December, General Director of IDGC of Centre - the managing organization of IDGC of Centre and Volga Region Igor Makovskiy held a press conference at the press centre of the Interfax international information group. Igor Makovskiy summed up the first hundred days of his work as the head of the company and spoke about its key projects for the near future.

According to the head of IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Centre and Volga, for the first three months a lot of work was done as the head of the company. Igor Makovskiy personally visited all 20 regions of the Company’s operations and inspected more than 150 production departments and facilities. Based on the results of these trips, the rating of all primary production subdivisions of IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Centre and Volga Region was formed, based on four key criteria: production indicators (failure rate and losses, terms of elimination of technological violations, etc.) financial and economic condition, professional competence and the moral and psychological state of the team on the eve of implementation of the strategy of digitalization of the electric grid complex, as well as the active position of the regional leadership, readiness to participate in this work. The rating results formed the basis of the digitalization “roadmap”.

The head of IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Centre and Volga Region told about the results of preparing the companies for the heating period, the decisive phase of which was carried out under his direct supervision. This year, for the first time, the Ministry of Energy of Russia assessed the readiness of electric power industry entities according to a methodology based on a calculated index of the actual condition of power grid equipment. IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Centre and Volga Region performed all activities in full and in strict accordance with the established requirements. A large amount of work was done in the framework of the repair and investment programs. Over 52 thousand km of overhead lines and over 12 thousand transformer substations were repaired. More than 27,000 ROWs were cleared. At the end of the year, the business plan over-fulfillment in terms of the investment program is expected: about 70 thousand kilometres of power lines and more than 1,000 MVA of transformer capacity will be commissioned.

“Literally the day before, we completed the adjustment of repair and investment programs for the coming years. I can say that today our companies are in a stable position and are ready to solve the most difficult tasks throughout the entire service area,” noted Igor Makovskiy.

Answering journalists’ questions regarding the implementation of the digitalization strategy, the head of IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Centre and Volga Region said that in the coming years, pilot projects will be implemented across the six regions of the company’s activities - the Belgorod, Kaluga, Voronezh, Vladimir, Nizhny Novgorod regions and the Udmurt Republic. This work will be carried out within the framework of the “roadmap” stipulated by the agreements signed with the leadership of these regions. In other territories, sites for the implementation of the project “Digital Distribution Zone” were selected. The approval of all activities of the digitalization roadmap, according to the plan, should be completed by 15 January. Their implementation will be personally monitored by Igor Makovskiy.

At the same time, Igor Makovskiy stressed that all digitalization projects are based on payback principles: “The maximum payback corridor has been defined - 10 years. If the project does not meet this criterion, it is implemented in the format of a “pilot” until these parameters are achieved.” The ultimate goal of the digital transformation of the electric grid complex of IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Centre and Volga Region, he said, is to move from the detection and elimination of technological violations to their prediction and prevention.

Also, during the conversation of Igor Makovskiy with journalists, issues of import substitution, tariff setting, consolidation of the electric grid infrastructure, optimization of the operational-technical management system were touched upon. In particular, the head of IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Centre and Volga Region spoke about a project to create competence centres in the regions on the main activities of the companies with involvement of specialized scientific and educational institutions.

In addition, Igor Makovskiy elaborated on the project for the creation of unified grid control centres (UGCCs) in the regions that will combine the competences of managing the main and distribution grid. As a result, 603 control centres will be replaced by 26 UGCCs, some of which in the future may receive the interregional status. Similar units are planned to be created in cities with a population of over 100 thousand. In addition to improving the efficiency and quality of management, it will free up about three thousand employees of the companies from among the production personnel to participate in solving their priorities, stressed General Director of IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Centre and Volga Region.
