General Director of IDGC of Centre - the managing organization of IDGC of Centre and Volga Region Igor Makovskiy held a working meeting with representatives of the primary trade union organizations of the companies. During the event they discussed issues of interaction between the Company’s management and trade unions in the field of social partnership development, plans for personnel and social policy of the companies for the near future.
As Igor Makovskiy noted opening the meeting, the trade unions of IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Centre and Volga Region are a big and powerful force uniting about 34 thousand people. A constructive dialogue has been built between the leadership of the companies and the trade unions. It helps get prompt feedback from the workforce, to know and understand their main issues and needs.
“The trade unions are our main assistants in the field of ensuring a high level of social protection of workers,” stressed the head of IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Centre and Volga Region. “Successful joint work is underway aimed at providing our team with comfortable and safe working conditions and social guarantees. Today we are at the stage of qualitative changes, we have to implement an unprecedented in its scale project of renovation of the electric grid complex of 20 regions of the country using digital technologies. And the trade unions can provide us with invaluable assistance by explaining the importance of this work to our employees and, in fact, by motivating them to take an even more professional and responsible approach to the assigned task.”
Deputy General Director of IDGC of Centre - the managing organization of IDGC of Centre and Volga Region Inna Gromova introduced the meeting’s participants with the results of negotiations held earlier with the trade union activists concerning further improvement of the terms of the Collective Agreement. In addition, she spoke about the new advanced methods of personnel training introduced in the companies and about events aimed at raising the status of the energy profession.
The themes of speeches of Viktor Ablezgov, Chairman of the Trade Union Committee of IDGC of Centre and Tatyana Kuznetsova, Deputy Chairperson of the Trade Union Council of IDGC of Centre and Volga Region, were the work carried out by their organizations in the field of labour protection and improvement of living conditions of employees, participation in social life of the Company and strengthening the favourable social climate in local workforces.
Also, during the meeting, they discussed the main directions of the corporate technical policy of IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Centre and Volga Region, further measures to improve working conditions, develop the production base, ensure a decent level of social support for the companies’ employees.
