Specialists of IDGC of Centre - Kostromaenergo division have started the reconstruction of one of the large power supply centres of Kostroma - the substation (SS) of 110/35/10 kV “Yuzhnaya”. Power engineers will install new 10 kV arc suppression reactors with an automatic control system at the power facility.
The substation “Yuzhnaya” feeds large neighbourhoods of the Trans-Volga region: Malyshkovo, Panovo, New Town and Pantusovo. Its reconstruction will make it possible to increase the reliability of electricity supply to about 25 thousand residents of the city, more than 10 socially significant facilities and a number of large industrial enterprises, including CJSC “Kostroma radio receiving plant”. Work at the substation “Yuzhnaya” will be completed by the end of the year.
