General Director of IDGC of Centre - the managing organization of IDGC of Centre and Volga Region Igor Makovskiy took part in the All-Russian meeting “On the preparation of electric power industry subjects for passing the autumn-winter period (AWP) of 2018/2019”. The meeting, chaired by Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation Alexander Novak, was held at the site of the “REW-2018” forum. The participants were heads and chief engineers of large energy companies, regional authorities, representatives of municipal headquarters to increase reliability. The meeting was co-organized by the Ministry of Construction of Russia.

IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Centre and Volga Region in full and in strict accordance with the established deadlines fulfilled all the planned activities to prepare for work during the cold season. The repair program is running ahead of schedule for a number of indicators. Specialists of the companies repaired more than 50 thousand km of power lines of 0.4-110 kV and about 12.5 thousand transformer substations of 10/0.4 kV. 92 power transformers were repaired at substations of 35-110 kV. Over 26 thousand hectares of ROWs of overhead power lines have been cleared from trees and shrubby vegetation.

Much attention in the run-up to the AWP was paid to the training of personnel to eliminate emergencies associated with low temperatures. Branches of IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Centre and Volga Region together with branches of FGC UES, with the participation of the EMERCOM of Russia, city administrations, executive authorities of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation and System Operator have conducted 17 exercises to work out the interaction during emergency response. In addition, the company organized 87 emergency drills.

At present, 2,872 crews consisting of more than 13 thousand people and over 4.5 thousand automotive and specialized vehicles are ready for elimination of failures and emergency situations in IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Centre and Volga Region. They have at their disposal more than 1,300 backup sources of power supply with a total installed capacity of 47.5 MW, which can be used to temporarily supply power, primarily to socially important regional facilities. The emergency stock of equipment is 100% complete. If necessary, resources of contractors may be involved in the work.

Of the highly skilled workers, who received additional training, 168 special crews of increased mobility consisting of more than a thousand people and over 300 vehicles were created, intended for quick transfer of additional forces between the branches of the companies and participation in emergency recovery work in the territories of other subsidiaries and affiliates of PJSC “Rosseti”.

All the branches of IDGC of Centre and IDGC of Centre and Volga Region entered into agreements on cooperation in failure prevention and response with local administrations and units of the EMERCOM of Russia, airlines, territorial grid and contract organizations.
